About
Let me introduce myself: My name is Sven, I am an experienced guitar teacher with a music studio in Ede. I teach guitar to beginners and advanced players from young to old. I like to tailor the teaching material to your needs and tastes. Everything at your own pace, and no experience or prior knowledge is required.
I studied at the HKU where I obtained my Bachelor of Music and Master of Arts (Composition in Context). During my education I was able to delve into composing sound compositions and expanding my instrument with electronic elements such as a computer or effects devices.
In addition to being a guitar teacher, I have been active for years as a stage artist in theater performances of my music theater group Project Wildeman. I have also been active as a musician and producer in the Dutch pop scene for a long time. As a guitarist/bassist I played in The Benelux and Bird on the Wire. As a producer I have produced a number of nationally known albums by, among others, Lucky Fonz III. Nowadays I am very busy making sound designs (sound design) for theater performances and installations.
Besides being a guitar teacher, I am the happy father of two young sons in a beautiful family.

The lessons
The guitar lessons are suitable for all ages; everything at your own pace, and no experience or prior knowledge is required. I like to tailor the lesson material to your needs and tastes.
I teach in a relaxed atmosphere where fun is the main thing. I like to improvise, but I also really enjoy learning beautiful pieces from sheet music. I like to teach children and adults.
We use the teaching method of Hal Leonard, where we calmly go through all the strings and learn the corresponding notes. So during the lessons you will slowly learn to read notes. (That’s easier than you think!) We also pay a lot of attention to playing melodies and chords. And if you have discovered a nice song somewhere, please tell us and we will start working on it right away.
I teach both acoustic and electric guitar. Most students start on a Spanish acoustic guitar.
Location
The lessons take place in my music studio within walking distance of Ede-Wageningen station on the Maurits-Noord barracks. Parking is free in front of the door.
Rates
30 minuten les – 28 euro
30 minutes duo lesson – 20 euro
45 minutes lesson – 41 euro
Free try out lesson
- For children up to 21 years old the rate with 0% VAT applies. For adults 21% VAT applies.
- The lessons can be cancelled on a monthly basis
- I keep the holiday periods of regio midden
